Langley Legends

Nominate a Langley Legend

Tell us about someone who has made Langley better, year after year. It takes a little while, because we want to tell their story properly: who they are, what they've done, a few photos, and what the people who know them would say.

  • Anyone can nominate. Family, friends, teammates, neighbours, customers, the people they've helped.
  • A real story, or we can't tell it. Questions with a dot need an answer. The more you give us, the better their profile will be.
  • Five voices. We ask for at least five short quotes from people who know them (you can be one of the five). Those quotes are the heart of every profile.
  • Photos matter. One good photo of them, plus at least two more: at work, volunteering, with their team, or through the years. Old prints photographed on a phone are perfect.
  • We check everything, by email. We read every nomination and confirm the facts. If we have questions, we email you or the people you quote; we never phone or turn up at the door. Not every nomination becomes a profile, and we decide the timing.
  • Free and fair. Nobody pays, campaigns or votes their way in. We never publish your email, phone number or anyone's private contact details.

3 What people say about them

At least five people who know them: family, friends, teammates, the people they've helped. A few honest sentences each, in that person's own words. Ask them first, and only include people who are happy to be quoted. Their email addresses are private: we only use them if we need to check something, and only by email.
