Spotted anything good lately?
An eagle on a fence post, a heron that won't move off the ditch, a coyote crossing 216th like it owns the place, a sunset over the fields, the odd peacock. If you saw it around Langley and got the shot, send it in.
The first Spotted pick is in November
One photo a month gets the spotlight in the Thursday Roundup, starting November 26. Send yours by Sunday, November 22 for the first one.
Wildlife, birds, skies, views. Taken around Langley, by you.
A real person looks at every photo. The good ones go up in the gallery below for neighbours to thumbs up.
One photo a month leads the last Thursday Roundup of the month. Entries close the Sunday before.
Be a good spotter
- Give wildlife room. Use the zoom, don't chase, don't feed, and never walk onto private land or a farm field for a photo.
- Coyotes and bears especially: photograph from your car or from well back. If one is acting oddly, report it to the BC Conservation Officer Service rather than sending it here.
- Keep people out of the frame where you can, and no house numbers or licence plates.
- Locations stay general: a park, a trail, a road. We never post a home address, and we strip the GPS from every photo.
- Your photo, your credit: first name and neighbourhood only, or none at all if you'd rather.
- Want one taken down? Email [email protected].
