If your kids want to see a hockey game and you want it to cost less than a night out, this one is worth a look. The Langley Rivermen, the city’s Junior A team, run a Kids Club for children aged 2 to 12. For $75 a child the team lists ten vouchers for home games worth $100 on their own, plus a bag of fan gear and at least two special events.
Who it suits
Families who would go to a few games anyway, and kids who like noisemakers. The team says the ticket codes are sent ahead so you can skip the line at the door, which is a small thing that makes a big difference with a three-year-old. Parking is the easy part: George Preston has a big free lot right outside, so there’s no circling the block with a car full of kids.
What we could not confirm
We did not find regular ticket prices or promotion nights on the team’s site this week, so we have left them out. Check the schedule before you pick a game.
We will go, sit with the noisemakers and score the night. This page gets the score when we have been.
