Background
The City’s own councillor biography says she lives in the Nicomekl neighbourhood, took university classes at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in psychology, sociology and anthropology, and left her studies in her early twenties to focus on her business. The Langley Advance Times reported in August 2026 that she grew up in Langley City and was running for mayor as part of the Achieving for Langley City slate, with five council candidates. The same article quotes her saying the City needs leadership that will “get the basics right.”
Business and community affiliations
As listed on the City’s council biography page, she owns Hempyz, a small business on the one-way in downtown Langley that has operated since 2008, and her company funds an annual scholarship for KPU sociology students. The Langley Advance Times (August 17, 2026) also describes her as owning a downtown small business established in 2008. In a 2022 campaign profile on VoteMate she listed membership in the Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce.
