Curling in Langley

Langley’s curling happens in one place: the Langley Curling Centre, tucked inside the Township’s George Preston Recreation Centre in Brookswood. The club’s site says it is a not-for-profit organisation, run by a manager with a board of directors and volunteers, and that the facility is owned by the Township of Langley and shares the building with a hockey rink.

Who it’s for

The club describes curling for all ages and skill levels: learn-to-curl, junior, senior and novice programs, clinics and social events. Its site also lists a daytime league schedule and a development section for clinics. If you have never thrown a rock, start with the club’s “Start Curling” page, linked from the official site.

Leagues and registration

For the 2026/27 season, the club’s registration page says league registration opens August 1. It does not list closing dates or fees on that page, so go to the club’s site or phone 604-530-8218 for the current details.

The club also runs a Pride League. Its page says to sign up for notifications about upcoming Pride Curling nights, or to contact the club. It does not list dates or costs.

Bonspiels

A bonspiel is a curling tournament, and this club runs several through the season. The bonspiels page lists these, with team fees as stated there:

• Ryder Cup Men’s Bonspiel, November 13 to 15, 2026: $420 per team in the competitive (Classic) division, $360 per team at club (rec) level.
• Mixed Doubles Bonspiel, December 5 to 6, 2026: $400 per team competitive, $200 per team recreation.
• I Be Pro-fen Open, January 15 to 17, 2027: $360 per team.
• Masters 60+ Bonspiel, January 29 to 31, 2027: $320 per team.
• Ladies Spring Fling, February 20 to 21, 2027: $320 per team.
• Truly Novice Open, April 3 to 4, 2027: $340 per team. Teams must not have more than 15 seasons of accumulated experience.
