The Langley RCMP serves both the City and the Township. This page collects the practical bits: where the offices are, which number to dial, and how to get a few common things done. For the background on how policing is organised between the two municipalities, see our explainer on the detachment.

9-1-1 or non-emergency?

The RCMP’s contact page says to dial 9-1-1 for an emergency. For a crime that has already happened, it points you to the online reporting tool or to the detachment. The City of Langley’s page lists 604-532-3200 for non-emergency police matters. The Township’s RCMP page gives the same number as general contact information.

Online crime reporting

The detachment links to an online reporting tool at ocre-sielc.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/langley. The City’s page says it covers losses, thefts or vandalism under $5,000 inside the Langley RCMP’s area, plus driving complaints that are not in progress, and takes about 15 minutes. It also says the tool is not for cases with a witness or suspect, or involving personal identity items, firearms, or licence plates or decals. Check the City’s page for the current wording.

Offices

The detachment’s contact page lists the main detachment and three community police offices.

Office Address Phone Hours
Main detachment 22180 48A Avenue 604-532-3200 Mon to Fri 8 am to 8 pm; Sat and Sun 10 am to 6 pm
Aldergrove 26970 Fraser Highway 604-532-3380 Mon to Thu 8 am to 4:30 pm
North Langley Unit B140, 20161 86th Avenue 604-882-6700 Mon to Thu 8 am to 4:30 pm
Langley City 100-20408 Douglas Crescent 604-514-2870 Tue to Thu 8:30 am to 4 pm

The page lists services at each, such as criminal record checks, document verification and non-emergency complaints, and fingerprints at the main detachment and North Langley. It does not list community offices under the names Brookswood, Walnut Grove or Willoughby, so we haven’t either. Hours can change; confirm before you go.

Police record checks

The BC RCMP says a police information check is done in person at your local detachment or police agency, with two pieces of government-issued ID, one with a photo. A vulnerable sector check is for roles with children or vulnerable adults. The page lists no fees, so ask the office first. Fingerprint-based checks are a separate product.

Victim services and community programs

Langley RCMP Victim Services is on 604-532-3214 ([email protected]). The detachment lists office hours of Monday and Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm and Tuesday to Thursday 8:30 am to 7 pm, with VictimLink BC at 1-800-563-0808 (24 hours) after hours. Services include emotional support, referrals, court orientation and help with Crime Victim Assistance Program applications.

Community programs the detachment lists:

  • Block Watch: coordinator at 604-532-3213.
  • Business Link: free security assessments and email alerts for registered businesses (604-532-3200).
  • Citizens Patrol, Speed Watch, bike and foot patrols: volunteer programs; call 604-532-3200.
  • Crime Free Multi-Housing, Realty Watch and Loss Prevention.

More ways to help are on our volunteer opportunities page.

Who leads the detachment

Name Rank and role Notes
Harm Dosange Superintendent, Officer in Charge See below

The Township’s RCMP page names Superintendent Harm Dosange as Officer in Charge, and the detachment’s April 17, 2026 news release and an Advance Times story of August 19, 2026 name him in that role too. The Advance Times reported in January 2025 that he would succeed Superintendent Adrian Marsden. It described him as a 23-year RCMP member who has spent his career in the Lower Mainland, grew up in Surrey, most recently served as Community Services Officer in Surrey, and had earlier worked at the Langley detachment, including as a watch commander in 2017.

The April 2026 release lists Sergeant Zynal Sharoom as Media Relations Officer. We did not find a published list of other senior officers (operations officers or inspectors) on the detachment’s pages. We could not open the older bc-cb.rcmp-grc.gc.ca pages because that site blocks automated access, so leadership may be listed there that we haven’t seen.

Local government pages

The Township and the City each have an RCMP page. Neither lists a police committee or liaison body. See City vs. Township for who does what.
