Langley’s buses run on TransLink, the same system as the rest of Metro Vancouver. Two bus exchanges anchor the network, and a SkyTrain line is being built along Fraser Highway. Routes and times change, so treat this page as a map of what exists and use TransLink’s Trip Planner for the schedule.
Exchanges
- Langley Centre: the main bus exchange in Langley City. TransLink’s fall 2026 notice says the new route 556 picks up and drops off at Bay 1 there. Bike lockers are available at Langley Centre.
- Carvolth Exchange: at 20255 86 Avenue in the Township, with a TransLink park and ride.

Fares and Compass
TransLink’s fare page says buses and HandyDART are always 1-Zone fares. On buses you tap when you board and don’t tap out. On SkyTrain, SeaBus and West Coast Express you tap in and out. A Compass Card or a contactless debit, credit or mobile wallet payment both work, and a single fare is valid for 90 minutes. The adult 1-Zone fare is $3.50 by cash or contactless and $2.85 with Stored Value. Children 12 and under ride free. Seniors 65 and over and youth 13 to 18 with photo ID pay concession fares. TransLink’s page doesn’t state which zone Langley falls in for SkyTrain, so use its fare estimator.
HandyDART
HandyDART is TransLink’s door-to-door, shared-ride service for people who can’t use conventional transit without help. To book a trip call 604-575-6600 (local) or 1-844-475-6600, up to seven days ahead until 4 pm the day before. For help applying, call Access Transit Customer Care at 604-953-3680.
Park and ride
TransLink lists the Carvolth Exchange park and ride at 20255 86 Avenue with 679 spaces, including 15 carpool spaces, open daily 4 am to 2 am. The fee is $2 a day or $40 a month, paid through PayByPhone (location 604300) or at the on-site meters. Overnight parking is not permitted. For lot or meter issues call Impark at 778-370-5050.
The Surrey Langley SkyTrain
The provincial project is extending the Expo Line about 16 km, mostly along Fraser Highway, from King George Station in Surrey to 203 Street in Langley City. The project site says it is under construction with an anticipated in-service date of late 2029. The eight new stations are Green Timbers (140 Street), 152 Street, Fleetwood (160 Street), Bakerview-166 Street, Hillcrest-184 Street (184 Street), Clayton (190 Street), Willowbrook (196 Street) and Langley City Centre (203 Street). Bakerview-166 Street, Willowbrook and Langley City Centre will have transit exchanges. For construction updates see how to check road closures.
