Roadwork in Langley moves fast, and a detour that wasn’t there yesterday can be there today. These are the official pages that carry the news, in the order we would check them.

Township of Langley

The Township’s Closures and Impacts page lists planned closures and impacts for roads, highways, trails, parks and special events. Entries are grouped by week, Monday to Sunday, newest first, with an overnight impacts table and a short note on each location, dates and detour. The Township notes that work depends on the weather and dates can change, and it points to @langleytownship on X for unplanned and emergency updates. Check the dates on each entry, as the page keeps older weeks below the current one. Questions go through the Township’s Contact Us page or phone 604-534-3211.

City of Langley

The City’s Roadwork and Construction page covers major roadwork, capital projects and park improvements, with a map and project details for each active job. It lists traffic impacts such as work hours and which lanes stay open. Engineering, Parks and Environment is at 604-514-2997 or [email protected], and the main line is 604-514-2800, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. The City also has an eNewsletter and a Public Notice Board link on that page.

Highways: DriveBC

DriveBC is the Province’s site for real-time road conditions, closures, delays and highway webcams. Use it for Highway 1 and the other provincial routes through Langley.

The Highway 1 widening

The Province’s page for the 216th to 264th Street widening describes about 10 km of Highway 1 getting HOV and electric vehicle lanes in the median, a reconfigured 232nd Street Interchange with a replacement overpass, and a replacement railway crossing east of Glover Road. It was last updated August 7, 2026 and invites you to subscribe by email. Contact: 604-527-2221 or [email protected].

SkyTrain construction

The Surrey Langley SkyTrain Current Work page has construction notices by project section, weekly traffic advisories and quarterly construction advisories. It lists work hours of Monday to Saturday, 7 am to 10 pm, and offers email updates. Email [email protected] or call the 24/7 construction line at 1-844-815-6111. More on the line itself is on our transit page.

Buses

TransLink’s service changes page lists route changes, and its Transit Alerts sign-up sends notices for the routes you choose. The Trip Planner shows the current route.

Handy habits

  • Check the Township or City page before you leave for a trip across town, and DriveBC before you head onto a highway.
  • Sign up for the alerts that match your daily route.
