Langley-Highland has been arranging flowers in Langley since 1975, which puts it past the half-century mark. It’s locally owned, a member of the Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce and part of the Teleflora network, which is how it handles orders that need to go out of town.
What they do
Most of the work is the everyday occasions: birthdays, anniversaries, new babies, get-well, and the “just because” bouquet. They also do sympathy and funeral flowers, plants and orchids, a small range of local gifts, and flower subscriptions if you want something fresh on the table every week. Seasonal collections rotate in; this fall it’s autumn colours and Halloween pieces.
Their own photos show the style: big, full, hand-tied bouquets, a lot of roses and gerberas with hydrangea and greenery, wrapped and ready to hand over.
Ordering and delivery
- Same day: order before noon for local delivery that day. Later requests are squeezed in when the route allows.
- Out of town: orders for other time zones need to be in by noon in the recipient’s time zone.
- Where they go: Langley and Surrey, and as far as Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby, Maple Ridge, Mission, Abbotsford and Chilliwack. Coverage varies, so call for anywhere far out.
- Timing: delivery routes start around 1 pm and can run into the evening.
- Fees: charged per address, based on distance. A rush two-hour delivery inside Langley costs extra and depends on a driver being free, and Sunday delivery may be possible for a fee.
Good to know
The two big days are Valentine’s and Mother’s Day, and those are the only Sundays the shop opens. If you’re ordering for either, do it early. For walk-in shoppers, the store is a short stroll from the rest of downtown; our Langley City guide has what’s nearby.
