If you have ever watched a plane come in over the Township and wondered what the old ones looked like up close, this museum is the answer. It is based in a hangar on the airfield at Langley Regional Airport, and the Township’s airport pages list it as one of the airport’s attractions.

What is there

According to the Township, Hangar 3 has more than 40,000 square feet of exhibits and over 25 historic aircraft. Named highlights include a Tiger Moth, a Waco AQC Cabin, a T-33 Silver Star, and a Second World War Handley Page Hampden exhibit, which the Township calls the world’s only one. Visitors can get hands-on with some of the aircraft, the site doubles as an active restoration centre, and there is an aviation gift shop. The hangar is wheelchair accessible.

The museum’s own site says its newest display was designed and built by an 11-year-old, and invites visitors to come and see it. We like that.

Visiting

The museum’s site gives its hours as seven days a week, 10am to 4pm, and we could not find posted admission prices, so we suggest checking its website or phoning before you go. The airport’s address is on 216 Street. Transit and parking details for the airport are on our airport page.

During the Township’s Air Fair in August 2026, the Aldergrove Star reported free entry to the museum, so that day is a good one to bring the kids. See the airport page for more on the Air Fair.

Events and extras

The Township says the airport’s events have included Canada Day celebrations, flying displays and the Langley 75th Anniversary Event, and its visitor page also points to local favourites like the Langley Good Times Cruise-In and the Arts Alive Festival. For those, see our annual events calendar. The museum’s own site is the place to check for its events.

Elsewhere in Langley, try the Langley Centennial Museum and the BC Farm Museum, which lists a Skyway Tiger Moth in its collection.
