If something loud, cheerful and ticketed is happening in Langley, there’s a good chance it’s happening here. The Langley Events Centre, or LEC, is in the Township of Langley, and the LEC site describes a building that opened in April 2009 with more than 322,000 square feet of space. Our sports teams page lists the teams that play here.

What’s inside

The LEC’s own website breaks the place into four areas:

  • Main building: a 5,200+ capacity arena bowl, a triple gymnasium, a banquet hall, a gymnastics training facility and meeting rooms.
  • Fieldhouse: a dry-floor arena (Arena 6 Black, with 300+ capacity), north and south gyms, and offices.
  • Arenas: a 1,500+ capacity arena bowl, two ice rinks and two dry floors that each hold 350+, a restaurant called Nat’s Original, and meeting rooms.
  • Stadium: an outdoor stadium with 6,500+ capacity, a high-definition video board, concessions and merchandise.

Getting there

By car from Highway 1, take the 200 Street exit (Exit 58) and head south, then turn left on 80 Avenue. The facility and parking lot are on the right. From Highway 10, head north on 200 Street, and past 72 Avenue stay in the right lane. The LEC’s directions page also covers the Golden Ears Bridge and the Pacific Highway border crossing, and has extra parking notes for busy nights (an overflow lot is reached via 202A Street).

The directions page doesn’t list transit routes. It asks you to call 604.882.8800 or use the website’s contact form. You can also plan a trip on the BC Transit and TransLink sites (we’ll cover those on a getting-around page).

Before you go

There’s no single set of hours, because everything runs on the event calendar. Check the LEC’s Events page for the game, class or show you’re heading to, and for tickets use the team or event organizer’s own site.
