Langley Minor Hockey Association, or LMHA, is where a lot of Langley kids get their start on the ice. The association is a non-profit, and its teams play as the Eagles. The association’s website is the place to register and to find out where and when things are happening.
Programs
The site lists two main streams: “C” house hockey and “A” rep hockey. It also lists skills and development programs, pre-season camps and a First Shift program for newcomers. It runs tournaments across several age groups, including the Langley Cup and the Gil Martin Memorial at the Langley Sportsplex. Check the site for each program’s age range, as the home page does not give a full age breakdown.
How to register
Registration is on the association’s Register page. It covers divisions and fees, residency requirements and proof of residency, payments and refunds, important dates and financial assistance. We have not listed fees or dates, because the pages we read do not show them. Start at the registration page and email the office if you get stuck. The association asks you to contact one board member per question and allow at least 48 hours for a reply.

A short history
The Eagles name goes back to 1973, according to the Langley Advance Times, which reported that the association celebrated its 50th anniversary with a free party at the Langley Events Centre in January 2024. The same article says membership was about 1,000 players at that time, down from a peak of around 1,200 in the mid-1990s, and that girls now play on many teams. LMHA’s website says it won BC Hockey’s Frank Spring Association of the Year award in June 2024.
Related
Langley also has a girls-only association, the Langley Girls Ice Hockey Association, which is listed by PCAHA, the regional body that LMHA belongs to. For pro-level and junior games, see the Vancouver Giants and the Rivermen. Our events page lists games and community skates.
