Out on Fraser Highway past 248 Street, Dare’s is the kind of feed store that keeps a whole corner of rural Langley running. It’s been family owned since 1978, and if it lives in a barn, a coop or a dog bowl, they probably sell food for it.
What you’ll find
- Hay: timothy, alfalfa, orchard grass and teff, including compressed bales. The current list is on their website.
- Feed and treats for poultry, livestock, dogs, cats and small animals
- Horse tack, hoof-care supplies and blankets
- Fencing and barn hardware: livestock panels, electric fencing, feeders, troughs and stall mats
They deliver hay and bedding too. Their own photos show the trucks going out loaded.
A family store
The Dare family has run it since 1978. The history section of their website has store photos going back to 1994. When wildfires hit the Penticton area in August 2026, the store collected supplies for people and animals, and they say donations filled three trucks. They’ve also sponsored the Abbotsford Agrifair’s open horse show.
Before you go
Their own posted hours are Monday to Saturday 8 to 6 and Sunday 9 to 6. Google shows a 7 am Saturday start, so call 604-856-1611 if you’re planning an early run. Check the hay list before you go, because varieties and bale sizes change.
Closer to the middle of Langley, Milner Feed & Pet Supply is the other big feed stop. For the rest of this stretch, see our rural Langley guide.
