DirectionsOn 216 Street just north of Chaberton Estate Winery; the pin is the driveway.

It’s been a while since anyone opened a new winery in Langley. Chapter Estates calls itself “the first new winery in the region in years,” and that’s fair. It soft-opened in spring 2026, and its FIELDNOTES bistro and tasting room followed that summer.

Who owns it. It’s a family project that began in 2019. According to an April 2026 MyWinePal story, quoting the winery, the family is Cindy and Ryan Moreno. The winery also bills itself as the first project of something it calls The Fraser Valley Wine Collective.

The land. The property covers 34 acres, with a private 20-acre vineyard, right next door to Chaberton. Alongside the usual grapes, the winery says it’s planted some varieties new to the Fraser Valley.

The wines so far. Prologue White (Gewürztraminer and Pinot Gris), Fuming Mad (Madeleine Angevine), two rosés called First Crush and The Mockery, Prologue Red, Young & Restless, and Coveted (Merlot and Petit Verdot). The names make the most of the “chapter” theme.

Eating. FIELDNOTES serves lunch, a Friday and Saturday Supper Club, and a Sunday brunch buffet called High VIN. The Sunday Family Supper Club does meals sized for a family of four. There are also dining domes and a picnic area.

Awards. None yet; it’s only been open a few months. We’ll add them as they come.

Not drinking? The Sunday family supper and the brunch buffet are built for the whole table, not just the wine people.

Chaberton Estate Winery is the next property south.
