Aldergrove gets a breakfast place: Eggspert opens Thursday

Butter chicken on an eggs benedict is the dish Aldergrove’s newest restaurant is leading with. Eggspert – Breakfast + Brunch opens November 5 at 27243 Fraser Highway, right beside Aldergrove Indian Bistro, and plans to run 7:30 am to 3 pm.

The restaurant has been posting its menu in pieces on Instagram since mid-October. The preview so far: six eggs benedicts, including a butter chicken version on toasted English muffins and a fried chicken one; six omelettes, from a masala omelette to a three-cheese; chicken and waffles; s’mores French toast; a house vegan garden burger; and house masala chai. The website already lists a kids’ menu of pancakes, waffles, grilled cheese and a kid-sized breakfast of a pancake with a choice of meat and egg. Prices haven’t been published yet, and the full menu goes up when the doors open.

We haven’t eaten there, so no score and no opinion until we have. Once it has been open a few weeks we’ll go in on a weekday morning, pay like anyone else, and write it up the way we do every review. If you get there first, tell us what to order.
