Fish Addicts says it runs more than 700 tanks. Walk down an aisle and it’s easy to believe: blue-lit aquariums stacked two high, each one a different species. For anyone who keeps fish, or wants to start, it’s one of the biggest aquarium shops around.

How it started

Owner Eric Baggs kept as many as 60 tanks at home before he and Sonia Zamora turned the hobby into a store in 2015. It’s still family-run. The shop also has a YouTube channel with how-to videos, like how to cycle a new tank before adding fish.

What you’ll find

  • Fish: freshwater community fish up to big species, cold-water fish, and saltwater fish
  • Corals and invertebrates for reef tanks
  • Live plants for planted aquariums
  • Aquariums, from standard and rimless tanks to all-in-one setups
  • Gear: canister and sponge filters, protein skimmers, heaters and lighting
  • Aquascaping: driftwood, Dragon stone, Seiryu stone and substrates

Before you go

The shop says photos online aren’t a promise of today’s stock, because shipments change what’s in the tanks. Google lists Monday and Wednesday to Friday 11 to 6, weekends 10 to 5, and Tuesdays closed. Their own website shows slightly different hours, so call 604-533-4116 before a long drive.
