Fort Langley got a yarn shop in February 2026, and it’s built around a table. The back of The Woolly Bulldog is a long wooden worktable with pastel chairs under hanging lights, set up for classes and for anyone who wants to sit and knit with other people.
The yarn
The shop’s own line is Bulldog x Bramble, hand-dyed exclusively for them in a palette of about 18 colours. Two you’ll see a lot:
- Four-Legged 4ply, a merino-nylon sock yarn, about 400 metres a skein, $32 per 100 g
- Halo Hound, a fuzzy suri alpaca and silk lace weight, about 420 metres, $35 per 50 g
Beside those are labels like Knitting for Olive, Sandnes Garn and John Arbon, plus needles, crochet hooks, and embroidery and needle-felting supplies.
Learning and making
The beginner crochet class is what most recent visitors write about, mostly that it was relaxed and they left able to do it. Midweek Make is a free evening craft night from 6 to 8. It’s free, but they ask you to reserve a date so there’s a chair for you; upcoming dates are posted on their homepage, including November 25 and December 9.
Visiting
Open Tuesday to Sunday, 11 to 5, closed Mondays. Colours sell through, so if you’re after a specific skein, call 604-229-2344 first. You can also shop online and pick up.
