Get thereThe Fraser Valley Cider Company

22128 16 Avenue, Langley, BC, V2Z 1L3South Langley, Fern Ridge (Township)

DirectionsOn 16 Avenue just east of 220 Street, about 2 km east of Township 7.

If your group splits between drinkers and non-drinkers, families with kids and people who brought the dog, this is the tasting room on 16 Avenue that works for everyone. It has a proper non-alcoholic menu, a wood-fired oven, and a 125-seat patio looking out at Mount Baker.

The orchard

The cidery sits on its own 12.5-acre apple orchard. A Canadian Craft Tours profile puts it at about 1,800 trees in some 25 French and English cider-apple varieties. The cidery doesn’t say what share of its fruit comes from its own trees.

The taps change with the seasons. October 2026’s list ran from a semi-dry through pineapple habanero, cucumber watermelon mint, cranberry orange and peach Bellini to hot mulled cider. Bottles include a Bone Dry, a Braeburn, a Scrumpy, an Elderflower and seasonal spiced ciders. Flights come in full or half sizes, and there are cider cocktails, cans and bottles to go, online orders for pickup, and a cider club.

Who owns it

The company was founded in 2015, and the tasting room opened to visitors in May 2016. The cidery’s own site doesn’t name the original founders. In 2023 ownership passed to Aaron Armbruster, who is also behind The Cider House, a plant-based cider bar in Kitsilano.

Through the year

  • Summer: a ticketed concert series on the outdoor stage.
  • Fall and winter: cheese fondue on the covered, heated patio, booked and paid ahead. It started October 8 this year, and bookings close February 28.
  • Year-round: comedy nights, trivia, open mic, workshops, the orchard globes, and a heavy-metal night called Metal in the Orchard. Check the events page; some evenings are 19+.
  • Happy hour: Monday to Friday, 2:30 to 5:30 pm, except holidays.

The orchard also hosts weddings and private events in a tent, and the company’s vintage mobile bar, the Roving Rooster, can be hired for events elsewhere.

Awards and recognition

  • 2021 Portland International Cider Cup, gold, for the Scrumpy, in the established cideries category. Northwest Cider Association
  • 2025 Growler B.C. Readers’ Choice Awards, Cidery of the Year, tied for second. The Growler

Township 7 and Festina Lente are about 2 km west on the same road.
