Pickleball and tennis courts in Langley

Where to play: eleven dedicated lighted pickleball courts at Willoughby Community Park, pickleball at Douglas Park and Aldergrove Athletic Park, and the Township's list of tennis courts, with Yorkson's four replacement courts still under construction.

Site plan: Township of Langley

Until recently the Township had 27 dedicated tennis courts and only four for pickleball. Council cited those numbers when it approved 16 new courts, and the Willoughby pickleball courts are the biggest piece of that plan.

Pickleball

Willoughby Community Park. Eleven new dedicated courts opened on July 25, 2025, at a project value of $1.195 million. The plan adds a practice area, meeting areas and a paddle rack, and the Township’s project page says lighting would also stretch the playing hours for the neighbouring volleyball and basketball courts. It reported intermittent court closures in October 2025 while crews installed the lights, and its capital projects list now shows the project as completed.

The Township’s own list of courts, as of its Yorkson project page: Forest Hills Park (86A Avenue and 214 Street), Langley Meadows Park (64 Avenue and 198 Street), Langley Tennis Centre (20611 80 Avenue), McClughan Park (91 Avenue and 206 Street), Routley Park (19901 70 Avenue) and Walnut Grove Community Park (89 Avenue and Walnut Grove Drive).

Four replacement lighted courts, with new surfaces and ball-control fencing, are being built at Yorkson Community Park on 80 Avenue in front of the Langley Tennis Centre, a $1.5 million project the Township’s capital projects page lists as underway. We will update this page when the Township marks them open.
