Newlands has been part of Langley golf since 1948. According to BC Golf House, Dorothy and Clive Rogers bought the land in 1929, began building in 1947 and opened with nine holes; a second nine came in 1959, and the course was rebuilt starting in 1984 and reopened for play in 1987. Today the club runs two courses, a restaurant, a bar and grill, banquet rooms and even a daycare on site.

The courses

Championship course. Eighteen holes at par 72, with tree-lined fairways and plenty of rock walls. The club doesn’t publish yardages on its site.

Executive course. Eleven holes with shorter yardage, aimed at juniors, seniors and beginners. It has its own tee sheet.

Rates

Newlands sets a price for each tee time on its booking site rather than posting a rate card. Prices are before tax. What we saw on October 21, 2026:

Course and time Walking With power cart
Championship, Thursday Oct 22, morning $42.86 $65.18
Championship, Thursday Oct 22, after noon $38.10 $60.42
Championship, Saturday Oct 24, morning $52.38 $74.70
Championship, Saturday Oct 24, after noon $47.62 $69.94
Executive, Saturday Oct 24 $25.71

Power carts depend on the day’s weather, so call the pro shop if you’re counting on one.

Season passes. The memberships page lists twilight, weekday, full-play and cart passes; the forms there are dated 2025, and prices are on the forms rather than the page. Members get the clubhouse locker rooms and bag storage.

Booking and policies

Tee times open seven days ahead, online through the club’s booking pages or by phone at 604-533-3288. The pro shop and course have been cashless since January 1, 2025. The club asks for a collared shirt and pants, and doesn’t allow jeans, torn clothing or sleeveless tops. No outside alcohol on the course. If the executive course is full, the club points golfers to its sister course, Guildford Golf in Surrey.

Practice and lessons

The club’s website doesn’t describe a driving range or lesson program. Ask the pro shop if you want to warm up before your round.

After your round

Mr. A’s Patio Restaurant does brunch, lunch and dinner buffets, and the Bar & Grill has casual food and live entertainment. Book a table at 604-533-3288. The club also handles weddings, banquets and tournament packages.

Worth knowing. The property at 21025 48 Avenue is listed for sale by Cushman & Wakefield, which describes it as an operating golf and event business on about 112 acres. The club was open and taking tee times when we checked.
