Every parent, dog walker and trail runner in Langley has asked the same question halfway round a loop: is there a washroom here? This is our answer, park by park. The map pins point to the parking lots, since that’s where you’ll be coming from. The notes tell you where the washroom actually is once you’re there.

This is a working list, not every toilet in town, and it only covers places we could confirm from the City, the Township or Metro Vancouver. Know one we missed? Send it in.

Langley City

  • Douglas Park, 206 Street and Douglas Crescent. Public washrooms, right downtown.
  • Linwood Park, 201A Street and Michaud Crescent. The washrooms are south of the off-leash area. Park off Michaud Crescent.
  • Brydon Park, 198 Street and 53 Avenue. Washrooms, with a gravel lot along 53 Avenue. Handy after a loop of Brydon Lagoon.
  • City Park, 207 Street between 48 and 51 Avenues. Washrooms on site, paved parking on 205A Street and 207 Street.
  • Conder Park, 198 Street and 50 Avenue. Washrooms and a paved lot on the north side.
  • Portage Park, 204 Street and 51A Avenue. The washrooms are between the Euro Court and the covered picnic area, a good first stop before the floodplain trails.
  • Sendall Gardens, 201A Street and 50 Avenue. Washrooms near the tropical greenhouse.

Closed until April 1: Nicholas Park (east of the playground), Penzer Park (beside the fenced court and at the southeast corner on 200 Street) and Rotary Centennial Park. All three are open April 1 to September 1 each year.

Township of Langley

  • Fort Langley Community Park, St. Andrews Avenue and Nash Street. Washrooms and parking, a short walk from the village.
  • Walnut Grove Community Park, beside the community centre at 8889 Walnut Grove Drive. Washrooms for both the east and west picnic areas.
  • McLeod Athletic Park, 5687 216 Street. Washrooms with the picnic facilities.
  • Yorkson Community Park, 84 Avenue and 206 Street. Washrooms marked on the Township’s park map.
  • Williams Park, 68 Avenue and 238 Street. Washrooms with the picnic area. More on our Williams Park page.
  • Otter Park, 2000 248 Street. Washrooms with the picnic area.
  • Aldergrove Athletic Park, 26845 27 Avenue. Washrooms with the picnic facilities.
  • Dale Ball Passive Park, 20733 36 Avenue. Washrooms with the picnic facilities.
  • Derek Doubleday Arboretum, 21177 Fraser Highway. Washrooms in the Interpretive Centre. The Township’s two listings give different hours, so call Parks at 604-532-7350 if you’re timing a visit.
  • McClughan Park, 9085 206 Street. An outdoor pit toilet by the picnic shelter, which isn’t wheelchair accessible.

Closed: West Langley Park’s washrooms, until further notice. The Township hasn’t posted a reopening date; call 604-532-7300.

Regional parks

These have the best accessibility details, because Metro Vancouver publishes them.

  • Campbell Valley, North Valley entrance (16 Avenue) and South Valley entrance (8 Avenue). Both have wheelchair-accessible toilets. Metro Vancouver warns that the doors or latches are heavy. More on the Campbell Valley page.
  • Brae Island, entrance about 120 metres past the Jacob Haldi Bridge on Glover Road. Accessible washrooms next to the day-use parking lot. A good stop on a Fort Langley wander.
  • Derby Reach, Edgewater Bar on Allard Crescent. Accessible pit toilets near the picnic shelter.
  • Aldergrove Regional Park, main day-use area off 8 Avenue. The women’s washroom is accessible; the men’s has a narrow passage with limited wheelchair access.

Tips

  • Park hours aren’t washroom hours. Yorkson, for example, is open dawn to dusk, but that doesn’t promise the washroom door is unlocked all that time.
  • Planning a longer walk? Our hikes and walks guide and playground guide both note facilities.
