Rotary clubs are groups of neighbours who meet regularly, raise money and roll up their sleeves for local and overseas projects. The clubs’ own websites would not open for us, so this page leans on news stories, community listings and a donation page. Where details are old, we say so, and we have left out meeting times we could not confirm.

Rotary Club of Langley Central

A 2019 Langley Advance Times story calls Langley Central the parent club of a satellite club formed that year, the first satellite club in Rotary District 5050. A satellite club is a smaller group that meets less often and focuses on hands-on projects. The one described had 10 members who also belonged to Langley Central, a goal of about two projects a month, and a June bicycle drive to refurbish bikes for families in need. It was reported under the name “Langley Central Sunset”. We did not find a current page for that group.

Rotary Club of Langley Sunrise

The club’s donation page says it works on education, health and women’s empowerment, and that it supports local initiatives. The only event it lists is the Langley International Women’s Day Luncheon, held on March 7 from 11:30 am to 2 pm at 21667 48 Avenue. The page links to rotarylangley.com for more.

Rotary Club of Aldergrove

The Alder Grove Heritage Society says the club held its charter night on March 31, 1990, and marked its 35th anniversary in 2025. A 2020 Aldergrove Star story put the founding membership at 25 people, five of them women, and listed projects including the pocket park behind the Aldergrove arena, the Rotary Fieldhouse at Aldergrove Athletic Park and water systems in villages in Nepal. A 2013 story added street banners on Aldergrove’s main street, youth literacy support, scholarships for local high school grads and trips to Ottawa for the Adventures in Citizenship program. Those stories gave Friday-morning breakfast meetings at the White Spot in Aldergrove. That was the schedule at the time, so confirm it with the club.

You can read more about the neighbourhood in our Aldergrove guide.

Rotary Club of Langley

A 2014 Greater Langley Chamber newsletter described the Rotary Club of Langley as founded in 1958 and meeting on Thursday evenings at the Coast Hotel and Convention Centre. We could not confirm whether that is still the schedule, so please treat it as history, not a current listing.

How to find a club

Rotary International runs a club locator, and each club’s own page should show where and when it meets. For other ways to get involved, see our Langley charities and galas, the Chamber of Commerce and the events page.
