Every other brewery on our list is in Langley City or farther north. This one is in South Langley, in the plaza on 200 Street at 40 Avenue. It’s a small family business owned by three friends, Kris Johnson, Jeff Hurkett and John Collins, who say they’ve known each other for more than 25 years. The brewery’s own story says the idea came up in the back seat of a car on the drive home from a craft beer festival. They built it during the pandemic, leaning on local trades and suppliers, released their first beers in 2021 and opened the taproom in 2022. It’s a small room that sets out to be a local hangout, with live music, bingo and “Comedy at the BBC” nights. Happy hour runs every day from opening until 5 pm. The beers on the regular list include a Czech-style pilsner, a hazy pale and a New England IPA.
We didn’t find any competition awards on record for Brookswood Brewing. It’s a stop on the 2026 Langley Ale Trail tasting passport.
