- Hey Langley events
Langley does Christmas in a few different ways: a market in the City, a parade and tree lighting in Aldergrove, a village tree in Fort Langley, and a drive-through light show in the Township. Here is what each organiser has published. Where a 2026 date is not up yet, we say which year the latest details are from.
Aldergrove: tree lighting and parade
The Aldergrove Agricultural Fair & Festival Association lists three dates for 2026:
- Christmas Tree Lighting: Sunday, November 22, 4 to 7pm, at 270 Street and Fraser Highway.
- Pre-parade community gathering: Saturday, December 12, 3 to 6pm, same corner. It is free, with food, hot drinks and entertainment, and Santa is expected.
- Christmas Light Up Parade (29th annual): Saturday, December 12, 6 to 7:15pm through downtown Aldergrove. Parade entries are due Monday, December 7. The association’s page links to a road closure map; check it before you drive in.

Langley City
Langley Christmas Village is listed by the City for November 26 to December 24, 2026, as a traditional European-style Christmas market with artisan vendors and seasonal treats. It is run by Parfait Productions Inc. in partnership with the City. Hours are 11am to 9pm Sunday to Thursday and 11am to 10pm Friday and Saturday, with 11am to 10pm on December 21 to 23 and 11am to 8pm on December 24. The listing does not give a venue address, and the City calls it a brand-new tradition whose details may change, so check the listing.
Magic of Christmas is the City’s free outdoor festival at Timms Community Centre, 20399 Douglas Crescent. The most recent edition we could read was Saturday, December 6, 2025, 2 to 6pm, with live music, kids’ crafts, face painting, a Holiday Artisan Market hosted by the Langley Arts Council, food trucks and visits with Santa. The City’s page for that event does not mention a parade. We have not found 2026 dates yet.
The City’s events calendar also lists a Christmas Wish Breakfast on November 25, 2026, 6:30 to 9:30am; follow its link for details.
Fort Langley
Fort Langley National Historic Site has run a holiday program called Bah! Humbug! A Holiday Adventure. In 2024 it ran December 16 to 30, with ornament making, daily nut roasting at 11am and a Chief Trader’s inspection walk at 2pm; general admission applied. Parks Canada’s calendar did not list a 2026 holiday program when we checked, so ask the site on 604-513-4777.
In the village, the Fort Langley Community Hall (9167 Glover Road) hosted a tree lighting on November 30, 2024, which a listing describes as part of the hall’s 100th anniversary, with a children’s choir and Santa arriving by canoe. We have not found a 2026 date. Our Fort Langley village guide has parking and shops.
Lights and winter fun in the Township
Holiday Lights in Williams Park is a free drive-through display at 68 Avenue and 238 Street. In 2025 it ran December 13 to 28, nightly 5 to 9pm, with more than 195,000 lights and holiday music on 106.7 FM. Advance registration was required in 30-minute slots, and you could add a donation for the Aldergrove Food Bank. The Township says it looks forward to celebrating again in 2026 and will post details on the page. See also Williams Park.
The Township’s recreation facilities also run holiday skates and Santa’s Workshop programs. Its 2025-26 list included sweater, candy cane and pajama skates; check the Township’s Holiday Fun page for this year’s version.
