Timms is the City of Langley’s community centre. It sits right next to City Hall and is connected to the Fraser Valley Regional Library’s City of Langley branch, so one trip can cover a workout, a book and a chat with someone at the counter. The City’s own description is a community hub for residents and visitors.

What’s inside

The City lists:

  • A gymnasium of about 7,500 square feet.
  • A 120 metre walking and running track.
  • A weight room of about 4,000 square feet, plus a fitness room and a spin bike room.
  • A games room of about 2,000 square feet. Saturday nights have a Youth Night, 6pm to 9:30pm, according to the City’s hours.
  • Four multi-purpose rooms, a community kitchen and café, lounge spaces, change rooms and showers.
  • A licensed preschool.
  • A Low-Sensory Hour in the weight room, starting September 7, 2026, with low light, no music or TV, and a scent-aware space.

There is no pool at Timms. The City’s pool is the outdoor Al Anderson Memorial Pool in City Park.

Hours

The front desk, weight room, games room and track all have slightly different hours. For example, the City lists the weight room as Monday to Thursday 6am to 9pm, and Friday 6am to 8pm. Those details shift, so rely on the City’s hours page.

Drop-in prices

The City’s published single-session admission, taxes included, was $3.00 for ages 4 to 18, $6.00 for adults, $4.50 for students with ID and seniors 60 and up, $12.00 for a family, and free for under-4s. The page does not say which facilities each price applies to, and it does not show an effective date, so check the fees page or phone before you rely on it. There is also a yearly Games & Track Pass that covers the games room and fitness track only.

Booking and contact

Meeting rooms can be booked through the City, and registration for programs runs through the City’s recreation team at the number above. For library hours and what a card gets you, see our libraries page. The City’s civic side is covered on our City council page, and there is more to do on our events page.
