W.C. Blair is the Township’s recreation centre on Fraser Highway in Murrayville. It is the one with the wave pool, which makes it a popular answer to “what do we do with the kids this afternoon?”
What’s inside
According to the Township, the centre has:
- A free-form wave pool with six 25 metre lanes, a spray lagoon with a rain tree, a tricky bucket, a water table, a diving board and a climbing wall.
- A sauna, a steam room and a whirlpool.
- Fitness rooms, with cardio equipment and weights.
- Quarter-operated lockers. The page says Canadian quarters only.
- Five rooms to rent, with capacities from 18 to 43 people. Details and booking are on the Township’s facility rentals page.
Accessibility
The Township lists a portable aquatic lift for the hot tub, a water wheelchair, beach-style access into the main pool, washrooms on the deck and in the change rooms, and a change room with a handheld shower head.
Fees and schedules
Drop-in admission is set by the Township for all its facilities. At the time of writing the posted rates (effective September 1, 2026, taxes included) include $3.70 for children 4 to 12, $4.70 for youth, and $7.50 for adults 19 to 59, with seniors, students and family options as well. Confirm the current numbers on the admission fees page.
For when you can actually swim, use the Township’s pool schedules, plus the separate aquatic fitness, fitness and activities drop-in schedules. Public swim times change through the year, and the building hours alone will not tell you.
