Stand on the east side of Glover Road, across from the Community Hall, and you’re standing where fans stood in February 2017 when Riverdale shot its season finale in the snow. The same lawn was a relief centre after a magic storm in Storybrooke and a woodchuck festival in White Pine Bay. Fort Langley is a few blocks long, and almost all of it has been on TV.
This is a walk for people who want to see the real places with their own eyes. It sticks to public streets, parks and a cemetery. Where a location is a private home, we say so, and you look from the sidewalk.
For what each show filmed and when, our show pages go deeper: Riverdale, Once Upon a Time, Supernatural, the full TV list and movies filmed in Langley.
Before you go
Best time. A weekday morning. The streets are quiet, you can stand back for the photo angles without dodging strollers, and the cemetery gates are open from 8 am. Skip festival days (the Cranberry Festival closes Glover Road for most of the Saturday before Thanksgiving). If you want no film trucks, December is your month: the Township’s filming guidelines bar filming in the Fort Langley business core in December and on statutory holidays.
You may walk into a live set. Amazon’s new series Runaway filmed around the village from mid-September 2026, using the Community Hall, the CN station, Glover Road, Gasoline Alley, Lions Hall and Glover Road Park, and its notice to residents said it would be back for a few days in October and November. If you see crew, cones and white trucks, enjoy it from where the crew asks you to stand.
Washrooms. We couldn’t find a published list of public washrooms in the village. The Fort Langley National Historic Site’s Visitor Centre has accessible washrooms (we couldn’t confirm whether you need an admission ticket to use them). Otherwise, buy a coffee.
Accessibility. The whole loop is at street level on village sidewalks and paths. The cemetery has grass between the rows. If you add the fort, Parks Canada says its buildings all have ramps and there’s a manual wheelchair to borrow at the Visitor Centre.
The loop
Walking times are our estimates from the map at an easy stroll.
- 1. Fort Langley Community Hall, 9167 Glover Road. The star of the village. For six seasons of Once Upon a Time it was Storybrooke Town Hall: hung with "Swan for Sheriff" posters in 2011, boarded up after the magic storm in 2012, and the place the Blue Fairy turned August back into Pinocchio in 2013. Riverdale used it as the town's community hall for the season 1 finale jubilee in February 2017, with 150 to 180 extras, and came back in July 2019 for the season 4 tribute to Luke Perry's Fred Andrews. In October 2012, Bates Motel put up a White Pine Bay woodchuck festival here for an overnight shoot, and Destination BC's setjetting guide adds the Air Bud films. What you'll see: the cream 1932 hall with its white columns, looking just as it does on screen. It's a rental hall, so go in only if an event is open to the public. Best shot: from the opposite sidewalk, which is where the camera usually was.
- 2. South on Glover Road to the old Fort Gallery storefront, 9048 Glover Road (about 2 min). The Advance Times reported in 2018 that Riverdale used this storefront as the office of the town newspaper, the Riverdale Register. The artist-run Fort Gallery left the space in 2022 and now pops up around the village, so a different tenant has the window today.
- 3. Back north along Glover Road: the Storybrooke storefronts (5 to 10 min, with browsing). In 2011 and again in 2015, Once Upon a Time hung its own signs over the real ones here. The heritage-style building that held a Coast Capital Savings branch played Storybrooke Savings & Loan; one shop became the "Everything" Notions Store; a walk-and-talk ran from the hall to the entrance of Gasoline Alley. Bates Motel shot its final season here in September 2016, with Glover Road standing in for White Pine Bay, Oregon. In January 2015, Supernatural turned the Husky station on Glover Road into its Gas-N-Sip convenience store and parked the Winchesters' Impala outside the Community Hall. Big Sky made the village into Helena, Montana in 2020. Destination BC's guide also points to Brunner's Village Square, the courtyard of shops, as a backdrop for "numerous" Hallmark Christmas movies. What you'll see: ordinary, busy shops. Tenants change, so think of the show's version as "how it looked then."
- 4. East on Mavis Avenue, sidewalk only (about 4 min). The Advance Times reported that Riverdale used a building in the 23300 block of Mavis Avenue in season 2. Homes here and around the village, like the Victorian house where Anne Hathaway's Colossal shot porch scenes in 2015, are lived in. Look from the sidewalk, take your photo, and keep walking. Don't knock, don't step onto the lawn and don't post house numbers.
- 5. Church Street and St. George's Anglican (about 3 min). Riverdale opened its season 2 shoot on June 22, 2017 in Fort Langley, with scenes along Church Street. St. George's (1901) and the Hudson's Bay Company pioneer cemetery beside it are on this short street; the church is a working parish, so treat it as one.
- 6. The CN station, Mavis Avenue at Glover Road (about 4 min). The 1915 station with the caboose. The paid audio tour lists it as a filming site, it was a stop on the Runaway shoot in 2026, and it's the most photographed building in the village for a reason. See our station page for when the inside is open.
- 7. Marina Park and the river (about 4 min). On that first day of Riverdale season 2 in June 2017, Archie and Veronica walked by the river here, and KJ Apa and Camila Mendes stopped to meet fans. Fort Langley Marina Park sits on the Bedford Channel, the quiet side channel of the Fraser. Detour: the national historic site is a few minutes east. Timeless filmed inside the palisade in 2016, with the fort playing the French Fort Duquesne in 1754. Admission applies.
- 8. Fort Langley Cemetery, Glover Road at St. Andrews Avenue (about 12 min, the longest leg). Destination BC's guide credits the cemetery to Riverdale and Bates Motel. It's the Township's oldest municipal cemetery, still in use, and gates are open daily from 8 am to dusk. Keep your voice down, stay on the paths and leave the graves out of your selfies. From here it's about 6 minutes back up Glover Road to the hall.

The map
Add a drive
The farm sets are spread across the Township and most are private. These are the ones you can legitimately visit, roughly in driving order from the village.
- Locality Brewing, 7111 252 Street. A farm brewery on MacInnes Farms, the farm that’s home to Jamestown. The farm lists film work around the brewery and its fake mine entrance, and Voicemails for Isabelle used the beer garden. Open every day but Tuesday from noon (hours on its site).
- Jamestown, 248 Street. The western main street used by When Calls the Heart, Once Upon a Time, Riverdale and many more. It’s on private farmland and, as far as we can find, opens to the public only for events like Gone Country (next on July 17, 2027). Don’t drive in on spec.
- Krause Berry Farms, 6179 248 Street. Daily Hive, writing up Tourism Langley’s 2022 holiday film map, reported at least 10 productions shot at the farm in a couple of years; it’s Myrtle Farms in Virgin River (see our TV list). Fall hours are Wednesday to Sunday on the farm’s hours page.
- Martini Town, 1123 272 Street, Aldergrove. A backlot of standing street sets run by Martini Film Studios. Destination Vancouver lists The Wedding Cottage and Schmigadoon! among the productions. You can walk it only during Merry & Bright, its holiday event: November 20 to December 31, 2026, 3 pm to 10 pm, tickets in advance only at merrybright.ca, no gate sales. There’s no transit and no sidewalk on 272 Street, so drive or get dropped off.
- Gabby’s, Langley City: nothing left to see. Riverdale’s Serpents bar, the Whyte Wyrm, was Gabby’s Country Cabaret on Fraser Highway at 203 Street. It closed for good in May 2020 and the building had already been sold to a developer. McLeary’s next door, which the Advance Times said also turned up in the show, is still open.
Prefer a guide in your ear?
Tripvia Tours sells a self-guided smartphone audio tour of Fort Langley’s film and TV spots: 19 stops on a 2.5 km route for $7.99, started whenever you like. It covers many of the same places as our loop. We haven’t taken it and get nothing for mentioning it.
Tourism Langley also ran a holiday “Map to the Stars” in 2022 pairing local businesses with the holiday movies shot at them. We couldn’t find it on Tourism Langley’s current site, so ask at their visitor centre if you want the latest version.
Set etiquette, the short version
- Private homes: sidewalk only, no knocking, no house numbers online.
- If a crew is working, stay where the production assistants ask. The industry’s own code of conduct says crews must stay inside their permit boundaries; returning the favour costs nothing.
- Don’t park in the coned-off spots or block driveways, and don’t wander behind the trucks.
- Cast members sometimes stop for fans. Plenty don’t, and they’re at work.
How filming gets permitted, and who to call when a shoot lands on your street, is in Filming in Langley: how it works.
