ARCHR is the café people in Yorkson send you to when you want a proper sit-down coffee, not a drive-through. It has brick walls, dark wood and lounge seating, and the menu changes with the season, so there’s usually a new latte and a new cookie to try.
What to order
- Drinks: Elysian coffee from Vancouver, plus rotating lattes and matcha. The salted brown butter oat nitro is a regular
- Cookies: big loaded cookies with changing fillings, and cookie pies (a cookie of the day was $4.90 on their delivery menu when we checked)
- Lunch: the Grinder sandwich, with salami, capicola, cheese and peppers
- Bakery case: almond croissants, cinnamon buns and more, some baked in-house and some from other BC food businesses
- Lighter: açaí bowls and plant-based breakfast options
Flavours rotate, so check their Instagram before making a special trip for one. Larger orders need 48 hours’ notice.
Who’s behind it
Sunita and Arvin Bahri, a husband-and-wife team, opened ARCHR in May 2023 because Yorkson-Willoughby didn’t have a neighbourhood café to gather in. The café also keeps a retail shelf for small local makers. Makers set their own prices and leave their goods for a month, and the café handles the sales. A second ARCHR is planned for Port Coquitlam in early 2027. This one came first.
Before you go
They’re open 7 to 5 on weekdays and 8 to 5 on weekends, and parking is free on site. Call 604-371-1666 or email [email protected].
