From the tall window in the Chapter Estates dining room you look straight out at rows of young vines, which is the whole idea. This is a new winery in South Langley. Its bistro and tasting room opened in summer 2026 on a 34-acre property, and about 20 of those acres are a private vineyard. The winery calls itself the first project of the Fraser Valley Wine Collective, and says it’s planting familiar grape varieties alongside new ones chosen for this part of the valley.

Eat, sip, browse

Fieldnotes is the bistro. The menu leans on Fraser Valley producers and runs from tomato bisque and charcuterie boards to steak frites, a bistro burger, gnocchi and a warm butter cake. The tasting room pours limited estate releases. Bottles we could see in their photos include Young & Restless (a merlot and syrah blend), The Mockery and Coveted.

Re-Tale is the little shop inside: home décor, tea towels, hostess gifts and wine. Members of the wine club get discounts, early access to events and private library releases, and delivery is free on orders over $250 (pick-up costs nothing extra).
