Before you go, open the winery’s “Closed for Private Event” page. Otter Trail says on its own site that it has become very popular for weddings and private events, and the page lists the dates it’s closed to the public, all day or just morning or evening. The October 2026 list had closures on six dates, one of them morning only, and happy hour doesn’t run on private-event days. The phone number, 778-619-6618, will confirm.
Eating there
The website sets the hours as brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 11 to 2, lunch on Wednesday and Friday, and dinner Wednesday to Sunday from 5, with Friday and Saturday running to 10. Happy hour is 2:30 to 5, Wednesday to Sunday. Booking is online, and there’s a kids menu on the home page.
The October 2026 menus give a feel for it. Brunch runs from avocado toast ($18) and French toast with BC blueberry compote ($20) to eggs Benedict ($24) and steak and eggs ($32). Dinner has two salads, then entrées such as seared mallard duck breast ($42), Fraser Valley sockeye salmon ($46), seafood fettuccine ($32), a mushroom risotto ($32) and a 12 oz grass-fed ribeye ($65). Each dinner entrée lists a suggested wine, some Otter Trail’s own and some from other producers. Prices change, so check the current menu.
The wine
The About page says the winery’s estate vineyard is 17.5 acres on Black Sage Road near Oliver, planted with Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer and Carménère. The online shop lists a white and a red cuvée, a rosé, a sparkling wine and one called Show Jumper, at $48 to $80 a bottle when we looked, plus gift cards from $50 to $250.
What’s on
The events page puts live music on Thursday evenings, with Elvis Night on Nov 5 (6:30 to 8:30) the next one listed as of mid-October. It also listed Yoga at the Winery on Nov 22, which was sold out, and Dec 20. Weddings, corporate bookings and other private events have their own pages.
The site doesn’t name the owners. Its team page lists a general manager, an assistant general manager and an events team, so we haven’t guessed. For more places out this way, see Shop Local in rural Langley.
