You may see two names on the bottles. One in the winery’s own photos is labelled Heritage Winery, and on October 30 it posted that it was wrapping up its first harvest season as Estate 1909. Either way it’s the same stretch of Glover Road, in the Milner area, where the winery says one of BC’s earliest settlements was established by the Hudson’s Bay Company and a preserved building still stands. The vines are young, and its home page features a Founders Series of wines.
Where you sit
The picnic area is round wooden tables and umbrellas on the grass beside the vines, with light bites and grab-and-go food. No reservation is needed, though the winery suggests getting in touch if you’re bringing a large group.
The covered patio looks out over the vineyard rows. It belongs to the bistro the winery describes on its site, along with a dining room and an upstairs event space for private parties.
The Big Barn is where the events happen, and it’s rented for weddings and celebrations. The farm page says there are no animals on site and that tours are coming soon.
Events
The ones so far have been free and casual. Friday Sundown Sessions with local musicians were billed for April to September in the picnic area, and Blood Moon, a Halloween evening with Between 2 Buns burgers, was free, family-friendly and dog-friendly on October 30.
Next up is the Winter Wreath Workshop on Sunday, November 15, 1 to 3 pm in the barn, run by Rookie Blooms. It has 50 tickets, with supplies and a mug of mulled wine included. A holiday pottery workshop with J-Pottery is also listed on the events page, so check there for its date.
Before you go
The bistro page still says “Opening Summer 2026,” and we couldn’t confirm that the dining room is open, so call 604-677-7311 before planning a meal around it. The hours above are what Google shows. The website’s own hours panel lists different times, so a quick call is worth it for a long drive.
