Flowers & Company

Say “designer’s choice” when you order and the florist builds your arrangement from whatever looks best in the shop that day. That’s the shop’s own explanation of the phrase on its FAQ page, and it’s a good option if you’d rather not fuss over stems.

Flowers & Company works out of a unit on 198 Street, and what it makes is simple to list: hand-tied bouquets, vase arrangements, planters, orchids, succulent planters, corsages and boutonnieres, wedding flowers, and sympathy and funeral arrangements. Right now the website is leading with a fall collection in rich autumn tones, which matches the pumpkins and sunflowers on the shop’s own display table in the photo above.

Ordering

• Colours: many bouquets and arrangements come in white and green, pink and mauve, peachy and yellow, or designer’s choice.
• Look: every arrangement is handmade, so expect it to match the photo’s style and palette rather than copy it stem for stem. What’s available changes with the season.
• Delivery: they deliver around Langley and nearby parts of the Fraser Valley, Surrey, White Rock and Greater Vancouver. Delivery arrives between 9 and 5. For a specific time, or for same-day, phone 604-530-2722 rather than ordering online.
• Pickup: online pickup orders are usually ready within 24 hours. If you need them sooner, call.
• Card message: about 20 to 25 words fits.

Weddings

The shop’s wedding page says it has done well over 1,000 bridal bouquets and weddings, led by senior wedding bouquet designer Trudy Van Noort. They ask for the date and details through the form on the Weddings page, or you can phone for a consultation, and they suggest asking early for popular dates.

About the shop

Flowers & Company describes itself as locally owned and independently operated, and says it grows many of its flowers in greenhouses in Langley. Its home page also cites more than 30 years of experience. The site doesn’t name the owners, so we’ve left that out.
