Angelica Arbic started Styled by Wild in February 2021 after COVID derailed her plans to get into event management. She bought flowers from wholesalers, made the arrangements herself, and that summer set up a stand on Fraser Highway, in front of the Aldergrove General Store, on Fridays and Saturdays. The Aldergrove Star wrote it up that July. She said then that she hoped to have her own shop in town. It’s on 272 Street now.
What you can order
Their online shop is sorted by occasion: birthdays, anniversaries, new babies, graduations, “I’m sorry” and “just because”, business gifting, weddings, and sympathy and funeral work (wreaths, casket sprays and standing sprays). Vase arrangements on the site start around $100, and the hand-tied bouquets come in $100, $150, $200 and $250 sizes, but check the shop for today’s prices. You can also ask for specific flowers, and they do subscriptions.
Delivery
Orders in before 2 pm go out the same day in their local area, covering Aldergrove, Abbotsford and Langley, with the fee worked out at checkout. For the weeks around Valentine’s Day and Christmas they ask for at least two days’ notice.
Wreath nights
This is the one we’d mark on a calendar. Through November and early December they hold evening wreath workshops, 7 to 9 pm, led by Angelica: Nov 13, 14, 20 and 21, plus Dec 4 and 11. It’s $69.99 a person, and that covers the frame, greenery, decorations, clippers and gloves. There are twelve seats a night and bookings aren’t refundable. On Dec 18, 19, 21 and 22 there’s a Christmas centrepiece night ($134.99) where you build a single-candle table arrangement. At checkout, choose “Pick-Up” to book.
Before you go
The hours on their website are Monday to Wednesday 9 to 5, Thursday and Friday 9 to 6, Saturday 9 to 5 and Sunday 11 to 4. Google lists shorter Thursdays and no Sunday, so call 604-816-7085 first if you’re going on one of those days.
