There is no open floor at Kenaz and no drop-in traffic. You book, you show up, and a coach is on the floor with you. The space is about 2,300 square feet: a red turf lane with a push sled, power racks, free weights, cable machines, an assault bike, rower and treadmill, plus a mobility corner and an assessment area for movement screens.

Who it’s for

The studio’s own description is adults roughly 35 to 75 who want to recover from setbacks or finally follow a plan that fits real life, and parents of young athletes (ages 10 to 18) who want speed and strength built safely. They also run:

  • ICBC active rehab with direct billing available, working alongside your clinical care team
  • Seniors fitness, with balance and strength in mind
  • Post-surgical and chronic-pain work led by registered kinesiologists
  • Online coaching, if the drive is the obstacle

Who’s behind it

Kim Marshall founded Kenaz in 2018. Before that he spent years in a clinic alongside physiotherapists and chiropractors, then helped build an online training company, and Kenaz borrows from both: a careful assessment first, then app check-ins between sessions. The team has grown to 16 coaches, a mix of registered kinesiologists, certified trainers, strength coaches and physiotherapists. The name comes from an old runic letter, which they read as a torch that guides the way.

Before you go

Start with the free consult, 15 to 30 minutes about your history and goals. They say they’ll point you to the right next step even if that isn’t them. The studio is open weekdays 6 am to 8 pm and Saturdays 8 to 4. The training floor has no stairs or raised platforms, and washrooms are on the same level.
