Start with the display kitchen in the showroom: navy lower cabinets with brass pulls, white uppers, a black hood banded in brass. The cabinets in kitchens like that are built by Kitchen Concepts in a shop here in Langley, and the same company designs, delivers and installs them.
How a job runs
Their Process page lays it out, and we’d read it before the first visit. In short:
- A free consultation in the showroom. Bring photos, appliance specs and a rough budget.
- A designer measures your kitchen at home, then comes back with preliminary drawings and budget pricing. That takes anywhere from a couple of days to a week or more.
- You tweak the plan in the showroom until it’s right, then sign. The first payment is 50%, with 30% when the cabinets are delivered and the last 20% once the cabinets and countertops are in.
- The cabinets are built in the shop, usually six to eight weeks. That’s your window to book the plumber, electrician and flooring.
- Installation takes three days or more. Countertops follow roughly two to three weeks after they’re measured, and their page warns you’ll be without running water in the kitchen in between.
What they make
Mostly kitchens, with bathroom vanities too, plus islands, pantry pull-outs, tray dividers and recycle centres built into the cabinetry. For countertops they offer quartz, granite, Corian and laminate, and the showroom has tall racks of quartz samples to hold up against your cabinet colour. For a full renovation they work with a network of subcontractors. They work across Langley, Surrey, White Rock and Delta.
Who’s behind it
Ken Boyce bought the business in 2022 from its founder, Gino Zanrosso, who retired after 38 years. The BC Registry has the company, K.C.L. Kitchen Concepts Ltd., on file since April 1984. Lead designer Theresa McBride has more than 21 years in kitchen design and spent three years as chapter president of BC-NKBA, the provincial branch of the National Kitchen & Bath Association. Karen Hudson is the second designer, and Chris turns the drawings into shop work orders.
