Wilkinson Tile & Stone

The warehouse is the reason to go. Behind a 1,500 square foot showroom, Wilkinson keeps more than 6,000 square feet of tile on pallets, ready to take home, and it says that’s the largest in-stock selection in Langley. That’s their claim, but the photo on their website makes it easy to believe: boxed tile in rows as far as the camera can see.

What they carry

Floor and wall tile, mosaics, ledgestone and brick veneers, pebbles, vinyl and laminate flooring, and slabs. Outdoors, there’s a range of 2 cm porcelain pavers that they list as rated for patios, decks, walkways and pool surrounds. Setting materials and tools are in stock too, with Schluter, Mapei and Ardex products on their list. Their front page highlights new collections too, when we looked including Italian porcelain in a marble look and a natural stacked-stone line.

Check the clearance page first

Their clearance page lists lots priced by the square foot, and some carry a note about how much is left. When we looked, a 100 square foot lot of grey hexagon was marked down to $360 for the lot. Measure your floor before you go, because a lot like that is gone once it’s gone.

Showers and heated floors

Wilkinson says it’s an authorized Schluter dealer and that its staff have completed Schluter’s training courses, covering waterproofing, floor membranes and in-floor heating. If you’re tiling a shower, that’s the conversation to have at the counter. Their floor heating page lists NuHeat and Schluter’s Ditra-Heat.

Who runs it

We couldn’t find an owner’s name in any public source, so we won’t guess one. The shop describes itself as a family operated business, and the BC Registry shows the company was incorporated in March 2009.
