Sleep Shop’s story starts with Haji Manji and his father selling beds in Richmond in 1979. They sold during the day and delivered at night. The family opened its Langley store in 1989, and it’s now one of four small family-run shops around the Lower Mainland. You’ll find the Langley store on the Bypass near Willowbrook.
What you can try
- Mattresses in foam, latex, coil and hybrid, from Nature’s Rest, Tempur-Pedic, Kingsdown and Bedgear
- Adjustable bases, set up so you can test them properly
- Cabinet beds that fold into a piece of furniture, handy for guest rooms, home offices and condos
- Pillows, mattress protectors, sheets and sleep wedges
The free in-store comfort test is the point of going in person. They’ll help you narrow down what feels right before you spend real money. A Bedgear performance mattress, for example, runs about $958, and a good pillow can be close to $100.
Langley customers mostly mention having mattress and base options explained, not being rushed, and getting help with delivery after the sale.
Before you go
It’s open Monday to Thursday and Saturday from 10 to 6, Friday until 7, and Sundays and holidays from 11 to 5. Hours on other pages of their website differ, so call ahead if you’re cutting it close. Parking is free. It’s at unit 101, 19868 Langley Bypass; older listings still show a 64 Avenue address. Call 604-532-7861 or email [email protected].
