Glow began in 2017 in a greenhouse, and this winter is its tenth season in Langley. The 2026 theme is Christmas Treasures: you follow Santa’s crew on an underwater adventure to help five children find lost family heirlooms, with a million-odd lights along the way. It is a walk-around festival, mostly outdoors, with heated and covered stretches, and it is in the Township’s Milner neighbourhood, not at the Langley Events Centre.
Do I need to book?
Yes. Tickets are sold for entry times, usually in one-hour windows, and on Fridays and Saturdays in half-hour windows. Glow asks you to turn up close to the time on your e-ticket. If you are late and the site is full, you may be asked to wait or be moved to the next slot. Once you are in there is no time limit, and Glow says most people spend about two hours. You can step out and come back the same evening if you tell security at the exit.
Prices at the time we checked: adults 16 and over $19.99, youth 4 to 15 and seniors 65 and over $14.99, and a family ticket for five (two adults plus three youth or seniors) $69.99. Each carries a booking fee on top, and tax is extra. Children 3 and under are free and do not need a ticket. The calendar showed a 30% discount code on selected dates, mostly early-week nights, so check the date you want before paying full price.
Which nights is it on?
Glow’s calendar lists Thursday to Saturday in the first weeks, with Mondays and Wednesdays joining in December and most days from December 21. Sundays show as closed, and December 24 and 26 are listed, with December 25 left off. Typical hours on the calendar are 5 to 9 pm on Thursdays, 5 to 10 pm on Fridays and 4 to 10 pm on Saturdays. These shift, so use the official calendar for your date.
What is included
One ticket covers everything on site, according to Glow:
- the Crystal Palace, a three-storey walk-through with a dancing light show that plays several times an hour (new this year)
- the Christmas Treasures trail, with a free North Pole Access Pass card that triggers extra displays and can be swapped for a keepsake at the end
- the Glow-Comotive train, LED swings, a light tunnel, an indoor playground, a bouncy farm and Putt Putt in the Poinsettias
- live shows on the Glow Stage, and Santa nightly until December 24
- the Merry Makers Market, which Glow says has more than 20 local vendors, plus food trucks
Pictures with Santa and the Glow Princesses are by donation. Cups, mugs and light-up umbrellas are sold on site.
Getting there and parking
Parking is free, with attendants directing cars and accessible spots at the front of the lot. Glow asks drivers to come north along 216 Street so they skip the wait at the Glover Road light. By bus, Glow lists TransLink Route 562 to stop 57255 (Glover Rd at Crush Cres), every 30 minutes at :20 and :50. There is no bike storage, and with little street lighting after dark Glow suggests arriving by car or bus.
Good to know before you go
- Paths are flat paved road or hard-packed gravel, so strollers and wheelchairs are fine.
- It stays open in rain or snow unless the weather makes the site unsafe. Umbrellas and ponchos are handed out at the entrance on wet nights. If a date is cancelled, ticket holders are emailed and offered a transfer.
- Pets are not allowed, apart from service dogs. No outside food or drink, no smoking or vaping.
- Alcohol is not served this year; there is a non-alcoholic bar with mocktails and seasonal drinks.
- There is a washroom in the greenhouse area just inside, with portable toilets near the food trucks, and a nursing and change area in the garden centre.
Who runs it
Glow is a Langley-born festival that has since spread to other cities. Its About page names Daryl Driegen as president and co-founder, and Kaitlyn Scheper as general manager for Langley, who started in 2017 as the first employee. Glow says it partners each year with charities that give children a night at the festival and runs toy drives.
