Short answer. If you want a simple riverside tent site and you’re camping between March and October, it’s Edgewater Bar. If you need hookups, a camp store, a tent cabin or a winter spot for the RV, it’s Fort Camping.
Which one is for me?
You want a tent site by the Fraser River with no hookups. Edgewater Bar. Each of the 38 sites has a gravel pad, picnic table and fire pit. There’s a washroom building with showers, potable water and a picnic shelter. Metro Vancouver lists the fee as $35 per party per night, or $32 for seniors (65 and over) and people with a valid disability parking permit. Limit is two licensed vehicles per pad, and the longest stay is ten nights.
You need power, water and sewer. Fort Camping. It has 156 large campsites and advertises 30 and 50 amp full-service sites, including pull-through sites. It also has a camp store, laundry, sani dump, firewood and ice, and rents novelty bikes.
You want a roof but not a hotel. Fort Camping rents five family tent cabins that each sleep five, with a table and chairs and a mini fridge. It also rents one RV that sleeps four.
You’re an RV owner who wants to stay through winter. Fort Camping runs a winter RV program (the maximum stay is 180 days between October and April) and says registration for the 2026/27 winter is open. Metro Vancouver lists Fort Camping’s campground as open 6 am to 11 pm year round.
You’re bringing a dog. Fort Camping accepts pets on a leash of no more than five feet, two per site, for $2 a day each, and says pets can’t be left unattended. Ask Metro Vancouver about dogs at Edgewater Bar before you go (604-882-4903).
