A starting list, not a full directory. Every entry links to an official or register page

Langley is home to many faith communities, and a lot of them have been part of daily life here for generations. This page is a small starting list. We only include places where we could check details on an official or public-register page, so it’s not complete, and an entry here is information, not a recommendation. Service times change, so each community’s own site is the best guide.

St. George’s Anglican Church, Fort Langley

  • Address: 9160 Church Street, Fort Langley, BC V1M 2R6
  • Phone: 604-888-7782. The parish office lists hours of 9 am to 2 pm, Tuesday to Friday.
  • Website: stgeorgeanglican.ca, which links to a calendar and online church.

The parish’s history page says the church began in 1859 when a Hudson’s Bay Company chaplain built a church at Derby, near the original fort site. The present building was finished in 1901, with the first service on October 15 that year, and was consecrated in 1908. It became an independent parish in 1987. The home page also mentions a 125th anniversary gala dinner. You can see the church on a stroll through Fort Langley village.

Sharon United Church, Murrayville

Canada’s Historic Places lists Sharon United Church at 21562 Old Yale Road, at the Five Corners intersection. The register says the original wood-frame church was built in 1889, dedicated in 1890, and is the oldest church in Murrayville. It was originally Presbyterian and is still used as a place of worship. See our Murrayville guide for the neighbourhood.

St. Andrew’s United Church, Fort Langley area

The same register lists Saint Andrew’s United Church at 9025 Glover Road, built in 1885 and described as the first church built in Langley. It sits beside the Fort Langley Cemetery. More heritage sites, including the Milner chapel, are on our heritage sites page.

Christian Life Assembly

Christian Life Assembly’s church website lists Langley as one of its locations and describes Sunday services, life groups, kids, youth and senior ministries, and outreach programs. The Chamber’s listing gives the Langley address as 21277 56 Avenue, Langley, BC V2Y 1M3, and phone 604-530-7344. Visit clachurch.com for service times.

More to come

We’re still gathering official links for other communities, including Sikh, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Jewish and other Christian congregations, and we’d like to add them with care. If you run a community in Langley and would like it listed, or spot something to fix, tell us. For community events, see our events page, and for local causes see charities and galas.
