What's new in Langley this fall: nine openings we could confirm
Three new rinks, a taphouse on 200 Street, a soda shop on Fraser Highway, a hockey lab, a pho-and-pizza place at Willowbrook, a rebuilt playground and a Roman pizzeria still to come, each checked against the business's own page.

A list like this is only useful if someone checked, so we did: every entry below is confirmed on the business’s own website or in a dated news story, and the ones we couldn’t confirm aren’t here. Openings, not menus. Where a place is independently owned we’ve said so; see Shop Local for the longer profiles.
Open
The ARENAS at Langley Events Centre, 7888 200 Street, Willoughby. The big one. Three NHL-size ice rinks and two dry-floor arenas stacked into a 400,000-square-foot building with a roughly 400-stall parkade underneath, built by the Township for about $149 million. First bookings were September 8, the official opening September 9, and the Giants played the first game in the new rink on September 13. Our project page has the numbers; the LEC page has the teams and parking.
Nat’s Original, inside the ARENAS. White Spot’s new restaurant brand, named for Nat Bailey, opened in mid-October as the building’s family restaurant, with a Triple O’s pickup counter beside it. Daily Hive reports weekdays 11 am to midnight and weekends from 9 am. It is a corporate concept from a BC chain rather than an independent, so this is the whole note: it exists, it’s at the rink, and it’s the only one.
Lightsteel Hockey, 7888 200 Street, Building C. An independent hockey-training business that has worked out of rented ice and a warehouse in Langley for ten years now has a purpose-built lab at the ARENAS: a synthetic-ice shooting lab, a gym, laser timers and the rinks next door. Programs for U7 up to pro run through the winter and book online; hours aren’t published, so start with the website.
TwentyTwo Taphouse, B-8399 200 Street, Willoughby. The second location of a Sechelt pub that opened in 2020, in the 8300 block of 200 Street. Twenty-two rotating taps, cocktails and shareable plates; open daily 11 am to 10 pm, and the website says “now open” though not since when. Two locations is a small independent in our book.
Sing Sing, #540-19705 Fraser Highway, Willowbrook Shopping Centre. The Vancouver pho-pizza-and-beer spot from Main Street and Commercial Drive opened its third location at Willowbrook on August 20, the first outside Vancouver. The food is the point, so we’ll stop there; it’s the kind of place a future review is for.
Pop Culture Dirty Soda, 20108 Fraser Highway, Langley City. Sisters Brooklynn and Mikayla Cantelon ran this as a trailer; on August 14 they opened a permanent shop in the former Lemon Bakery space on the one-way, Tuesday to Sunday 10 am to 8 pm. Flavoured-syrup sodas, in other words, and the first bricks-and-mortar one in Langley. Independent, local, and a nice fit for the Downtown Langley strip.
Noel Booth Community Park playground, 36 Avenue and 202 Street, Brookswood. Not a business, but new and open: the Township finished a rebuilt, inclusive playground in September, themed on the area’s history (there is a wooden play bus painted as the N. Booth General Merchant delivery truck) with an accessible path to it. It’s on our playgrounds page, and the park itself is on our Brookswood Pond page.
Langley Golf Centre’s driving range, 21550 44 Avenue, Murrayville. Not new, but changed: the par-3 course now runs a two-level range with reserved bays, 30 minutes on the lower deck or 60 on the upper, with Toptracer shot tracking through the app, booked online. The site still describes it as “opening in 2026” on one page and as running on another, so if you’re going specifically for the range, call 604-534-4555 first. Our page has the rate card.
Coming
Pizzeria Spacca Roma, 9180 Glover Road, Fort Langley. Roman-style pizza, supplì and tiramisu from the team behind Pizzeria Spacca Napoli, taking the unit beside Wendel’s. Daily Hive had it as “coming soon” on October 13 with no date, and the owners were still hiring kitchen staff a week later. Independent. We’ll list the opening on events when they announce it.
And since the summer
If you’ve been away: the Muriel Arnason Library in Walnut Grove reopened on July 15 after an extended closure, and the Township opened a new fire hall in mid-July. Both are on our libraries and emergency contacts pages.
Know of an opening we’ve missed? Independent businesses can tell us about a launch at /shop-local/grand-opening/; anyone can send a tip. Nobody pays to be here and we don’t promise to post.
