Five things to know about the pool-table shop at Fraser Highway and Willowbrook Drive.
1. It’s been selling tables since 2002, and the owners go back further. Classic Games and Billiards opened in 2002, but its owners say they’d been selling and servicing pool tables around the Lower Mainland since 1977. A 2017 profile named Nick Vinciguerra as founder and co-owner. The shop’s own site lists a 2012 Top Canadian Brunswick Dealer award and Consumer’s Choice awards for specialty retail in 2012 and 2013.
2. It’s a whole games room, not only pool. The showroom floor is full of full-size Brunswick tables. Along the walls you’ll find cues (Viking among them), cue cases, balls, chalk in every colour, and tip repairs. They also carry table tennis, foosball, air hockey and shuffleboard tables, and plenty of darts. Reviewers say the range of darts alone is worth the trip.
3. They’ll deliver it, set it up, and move it later. Their own crew handles installation, moves and repairs. The website says a table bought from them comes with a basic accessory package plus delivery and setup anywhere in the Lower Mainland, and in-store estimates are free.
4. The hours are short, so check before you go. Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 10 to 4; Tuesday and Thursday 10 to 6; closed Sunday. They’re closed Remembrance Day (Wednesday, November 11). Call 604-539-9890.
5. Finding it. It’s unit 106 at 6039 196 Street, just south of Fraser Highway, on the Surrey side of the line, in the same stretch of shops Langley drivers use every day. Look for the red sign. Ask about floor models too: a clearance page lists pre-owned and ex-display tables.
