Aldergrove’s Fire Hall No. 3 opened in 1959. These days the engines are long gone and the old hall smells of cinnamon. Langley Meals on Wheels runs a café here, and every bun and coffee helps pay for meals delivered to people across Langley.
What to order
- Cinnamon buns: big, iced and the house favourite ($6 on their own page)
- Cupcakes, dessert bars, muffins and loaves from the café’s own baking
- Coffee, specialty coffee and tea
There’s also a small gift shop if you’re after something to take home.
Why it’s here
Langley Meals on Wheels has been delivering meals since 1979 with a crew of volunteers. The café opened in the fire hall in 2021 as a social enterprise, and the society took ownership of the building from the Township in 2024. In February 2025 the Township gave the hall a heritage recognition plaque, so the building itself is part of Aldergrove’s story too.
It’s also a gathering spot. Local groups meet here, including a drop-in coffee group run by the Langley Hospice Society.
Before you go
It’s a weekday café: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 4 pm, closed on weekends and statutory holidays. The society’s office closes at 3, but the café stays open until 4. Call 604-533-1679 or email [email protected].
