Golden Tree Jewellers

Golden Tree Jewellers is one of the long-time independents inside Willowbrook Shopping Centre. Chandulal Bhindi founded it, and by the family’s own history it’s been there since the late 1980s. His children came into the business, and in 2014 his grandson joined too. Bob Bhindi is one of the owners. Over the years the showroom has grown to about three times its original size. The latest renovation was in 2022.

Customers mostly mention the time staff take to explain watches and compare models, and the help they get designing custom rings and bands.

The Boxing Day ring

For more than 30 years, Golden Tree has released a ring designed by its own goldsmiths every Boxing Day. The two ring photos here are past designs from that tradition, not what’s in the case today.

Giving back

The family says it funds 22 scholarships a year for local valedictorians, a program that has been running for more than two decades.

The showroom is unit 215, inside the mall. It’s open Monday to Thursday from 10 to 7, Friday and Saturday until 9, and Sundays and holidays from 11 to 6.
