Krause Berry Farms & Estate Winery
A Langley berry farm since 1974: u-pick fields, fresh waffles, a bakery and kitchen making 125-plus products from the farm's own crops, and an estate winery pouring fruit wines.
Be the first to recommend it

- Where
- 6179 248 Street, on the 248 Street farm corridor in the Township. A second shop is at 23823 72 Avenue
- Since
- 1974, when it was one acre of strawberries
- Good to know
- No admission fee. No pets at the main farm, and no outside food or drink
The waffle bar closes at 3:30, an hour and a half before the rest of the farm, and it’s an easy detail to miss. Get there before the line has a chance to eat your afternoon.
One acre to 200
Alf Krause planted an acre of strawberries here in 1974. The farm now grows berries and vegetables on more than 200 acres, and Alf and Sandee Krause still own and run it. Sandee’s baking is where much of the rest came from. The farm says it now makes over 125 products from its own crops in an on-site kitchen, with viewing windows so you can watch.
What’s here
- Waffle bar: fresh waffles with seasonal fruit, berry or apple syrup and whipped cream. A regular was $14.45 and a vegan gluten-friendly one $16.75 when we checked; the gluten-friendly ones share a kitchen with regular waffles, so the farm doesn’t recommend them for celiac guests.
- Market and bakery: jams, syrups, pickled vegetables, salsa, granola and baking mixes, plus pies, cookies, shortcakes and roasted-corn pizza. Holiday baking runs to stollen and mincemeat tarts, and the shelves carry gifts from more than 100 makers.
- Estate winery: all fruit, no grapes: strawberry, raspberry, rhubarb, apple and pear wines, by the glass, flight or bottle, with a short food menu and non-alcoholic options. Its Rhubarb with Strawberry took Double Gold at the 2025 All Canadian Wine Championships, per the winery’s awards page. If you’re tasting, line up a driver.
- U-pick: seasonal, first come, first served, and it changes by the day, so check their Instagram before you drive out.
Coming up
Fall hours are Wednesday to Sunday, 9:30 to 5, closed Monday, Tuesday and holidays. On Saturday, November 7 there’s an after-hours Christmas shopping evening (6 to 9 pm, advance tickets, proceeds to Colorectal Cancer Canada), and a Waffle Breakfast with Santa runs December 12. Both need tickets; the events page has the details.
The other shop
The Krause Farm Store & Café at 23823 72 Avenue has a coffee bar, fresh baking, plants and gifts. The farm’s site lists it open daily, 9:30 to 5, and says pets are welcome there, which the main farm can’t say.
