Questions people ask
Do I need to book? No. The shop says no appointment is needed. Look for the glass garage doors with “Please remain in vehicle” on them.
What’s the 23-point inspection? A visual check that comes with every oil change package: air filter, serpentine belt, coolant, brake, transmission, power steering and washer fluids, lights, wipers, PCV valve, battery, tires, shocks, exhaust, axle boots and U-joints, among other items. The idea, in the shop’s words, is to catch problems before they become breakdowns.
What else do they do? Fluid changes (differential, radiator, transfer case, transmission), air, cabin and fuel filters, fuel system cleaning, serpentine belt service and wiper blades.
Will it affect my warranty? The shop says its work is new-car-warranty approved, and its FAQ notes that manufacturers still have to honour a new-car warranty when servicing is done outside the dealership, as long as you keep your receipts. The workmanship itself is covered for 90 days or 5,000 km, whichever comes first.
Which vehicles? Most makes, including Volvo, Land Rover, BMW, Audi, Jaguar and Mercedes-Benz, along with hybrids and most diesels. Businesses can set up fleet accounts on 30-day terms.
And the car wash? It’s on the same lot, with manual wand bays and an automatic wash, plus vacuums. The site lists it as open 24/7 and gave prices from $8 to $21 when we looked. Some oil change specials include a free wash, so check the coupons page.
