Ultra Glo Pet Spa

The owner’s own dog came home from a grooming appointment so rattled that it changed what she did next. Miranda saved up, opened Ultra Glo in 2023 and built it around one idea: each pet gets one-on-one attention, and the nervous ones get extra time.

What they do

Dog and cat grooming, with baths, trims and creative cuts, plus hand stripping for breeds that need it (it has its own page on their site). If you have a cat that needs a groom, this is one of the places that takes them. The site also lists “paw spa” treatments and a drying approach it describes as safe for both species.

On Instagram the recent work is a run of Halloween-bandana poodles, doodles and Newfoundlands, which gives a fair idea of the range, from small fluffy dogs to very large ones.

The space

It is a bright, open salon behind a red-and-black plaza front, with a reception counter made of reclaimed wood and ivy along the railings. The grooming stations sit behind the reception area, not on show to the parking lot.

Before you go

• Closed Sundays and Mondays; open until 7 pm the other five days, which helps if you work days.
• Their site says they are taking new clients.
• Book through the site or text. Check prices on their site or by message, since we have not listed any here.
• Their team page notes one groomer is away until June 2027, so ask who will be handling your pet.
