Remember wandering the aisles of a video store on a Friday night? Willow Video Games never stopped. It’s been on Willowbrook Drive since 1988, and it still rents movies and games, which makes it a rare thing in the Fraser Valley now. Erik Vilio owns it. He started it with his two brothers, and in the early days the business paired mini golf with movie rentals.

What’s on the shelves

This is a shop for people who like owning the actual thing:

  • Retro games and consoles: Nintendo, Sega and PlayStation, with older boxed titles in the glass cases
  • Movies: used DVDs, Blu-rays and 4K discs, VHS tapes and TV box sets, with a whole wall of DVDs for sale
  • Music: vinyl records, CDs and cassettes in browsable bins
  • Rentals: new-release movies and current Switch and PS5 games

Regulars tend to mention two things: the range of older games you won’t find in a big-box store, and staff who can answer collector questions. Prices for retro titles come up as fair, too.

Bringing in a collection?

They buy and trade selected games, movies and records. Formats and condition rules are on their buying page, so check that before you haul in a box of cartridges.

Hours and getting there

It’s open every day from 11 am to 6 pm at 19609 Willowbrook Drive, across the road from the Willowbrook shopping area. Call 604-530-5324 or email [email protected].

Physical media has been making a comeback, and BCIT News stopped by again in 2026 to ask Vilio why. If you’ve got a kid who’s just discovered N64, or you’re hunting for a movie that isn’t on any streaming service, this is a fun stop. For more Willowbrook-area shops, see Shop Local.
