If food is tight, you aren’t alone, and there are several doors to try. This page gathers the ones we could confirm from official listings. Nobody here is judging, and these places exist so you can ask.
The Langley Food Bank
The Langley Food Bank is run by Sources Community Resources Society. Sources says it is recognized by Food Banks Canada. The listing on BC211 describes it as serving individuals and families with low income in Langley, and says it aims for enough food for each person for at least two days a week. It also lists diapers, baby formula and other baby supplies.
Adults register in person and, according to BC211, bring ID, proof of address and proof of dependents. The Sources page asks clients to arrive at least 15 minutes before closing. Both listings agree on the Wednesday and Thursday hours; the Sources page also lists Tuesday, so check that page or phone before you head over.
Donating food
On-site donations are accepted Monday to Thursday, 8:30 am to 4 pm, and Friday, 9 am to noon. Sources says it does not solicit donations door-to-door.
A hot lunch
The Salvation Army’s Gateway of Hope runs a Community Meal Centre. BC211 lists lunch daily at 12:30 pm at 5787 Langley Bypass. Phone 604-514-7375 to confirm.
211 for everything else

- call 2-1-1, or 1-888-484-3211 toll-free

Navigators are listed as available 9 am to 9 pm, Monday to Friday, excluding holidays, with interpretation in over 240 languages and dialects. It can point you to food banks, income assistance, seniors’ services, legal resources, counselling and shelter information. For emergencies, call 9-1-1 instead.
