Working parents know the feeling: a Pro-D day sneaks up and suddenly it’s Thursday night. Here’s the year ahead, then where to book.

The calendar

These are the Langley School District’s elementary dates. Some schools run different calendars, so check your child’s school before you book.

One catch: the Township’s after-school program, Active Beyond the Bell, doesn’t run on days off or over winter and spring break, so you need a separate booking.

Township of Langley camps

The Township runs camps at its rec centres and at salishan Place, from age three. A few rules to know:

  • Five-year-olds: for winter, spring break and Pro-D camps they need to be in kindergarten now; for summer camps, they need to have finished kindergarten.
  • Swimming: preschool (3 to 5) and junior (5 to 6) campers do water play, not swimming. Senior campers (7 to 12) may swim, depending on the camp.
  • Whole weeks only: you can’t book single days of a week-long camp.
  • Refunds: full refund with five days’ notice; 20% fee after that; nothing once camp starts.

Spring break 2027 camps are part of the winter program. Mark these: programs are viewable November 17 at 10 a.m., Township residents can register November 27 at noon, and everyone else from December 4 at noon. Last summer salishan Place ran history, archaeology, eco and art camps, which is worth a look if your kid likes Fort Langley.

City of Langley camps

  • Pro-D day, Nov 20: Space Explorer STEM Adventures at Timms Community Centre, ages 6 to 14, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., $95 (registration code 55163).
  • Summer: the City’s Funtastic camps ran June 29 to September 4 this year, with paid Extended Play from 7 to 8:30 a.m. and 3 to 6 p.m. Watch for 2027 dates in the spring guide.
  • Extra support: if your child needs more help to join, call the Recreation Supervisor at 604-514-2867. Adults who come along to camp with a child, including parents and support workers, need a Police Information Check, so call two weeks ahead.
  • Help paying: low-income City residents can apply for a Leisure Access Grant (25% to 75% off eligible programs). Partnership programs don’t qualify, so check the listing.

BGC Langley Club

The Boys and Girls Club at 5409A 206 Street runs school-break day camps for Grades 1 to 7, members and non-members alike. Days run 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., which covers a full workday. It lists $25 a day for annual members and $35 for camp-only members, but families pay what they can when they register, and payment plans are available. Its posted Pro-D days match the school calendar above, and its spring break weeks are March 15 to 19 and March 22 to 25. Phone 604-533-8552. More on our BGC Langley page.

Art Village (one-day art camps)

Art Village Visual Art School, #202 – 20486 64 Avenue, runs $95 one-day art camps on February 8, April 12 and May 21, 2027, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Early drop-off at 9 a.m. and late pick-up at 3 p.m. are $15 each. Materials are included; send lunch, snacks and a water bottle. Its pages give different grade ranges (1 to 6 and 1 to 5), so confirm when you book.

Flip City Gymnastics

Flip City, #4 – 20279 97 Avenue (604-888-3366), runs camps over spring break, summer, winter break and Pro-D days, and its Langley Pro-D camps follow the school district’s calendar. Pro-D days are $40, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Summer full days are for ages five and up. Check the specific Langley session before you count on it.

Summer only: TWU and the zoo

Trinity Western University ran summer camps from June 29 to August 28 this year. Two of note: Young Moviemakers (ages 8 to 14, $460 for five days) and Salmon, Science and Nature Explorations (ages 6 to 9, $344.40 a week). Camp days were 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with care from 8 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 5 p.m. for $12.13 a session. TWU’s handbook says most camps include a short daily Bible time. 2027 dates and prices aren’t out yet. Call 604-513-2121 ext. 2496.

Greater Vancouver Zoo runs Junior Zoo Camp (ages 5 to 9) and Youth Camp (10 to 14). Its 2026 season is done, and it says 2027 dates, prices and hours are coming. See our zoo page.

Comparing camps

Look at the whole day, not just the price. A $95 art camp that ends at 2:30 is a different deal from a BGC day that runs to 6 if you’re working until 5. Add in any extended care, then compare.
